Check out our Interactive Map to see if you are within our boundaries. You can also determine who your fire and EMS providers are by accessing your property records. You can do that by going to the Jefferson County Property Records site and searching for your address.

2. How do I sign up for emergency alerts through Lookout Alert?

LookoutAlert is the official emergency notification system of the regional collaborative of Jefferson County and all cities within it, such as the Cities of Arvada and Wheat Ridge, in addition to the City and County of Broomfield and the City of Westminster. Through LookoutAlert, emergency responders are able to provide emergency and public safety messages to residents.

5. Where can I get my fire extinguisher serviced?

We do not provide this service and we do not recommend a specific company. However, there are many out there and you can always refer to searching on Google for a service company.

7. What is our ISO rating and accreditation status?

 Arvada Fire has been awarded a Class 1 Public Protection Classification (PPC) from the Insurance Services Office (ISO). A Class 1 rating is the highest possible fire protection class rating and is determined based on how well a fire response agency can protect the community it serves.

Additionally, we are internationally accredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI). Accredited agencies are often described as being community-focused, data-driven, outcome-focused, strategic-minded, well organized, properly equipped, and properly staffed and trained.

Arvada Fire is one of just eight fire agencies in Colorado and one of 114 nationally with a Class 1 ISO rating and international accreditation. Less than one percent of fire agencies across the country earn a Class 1 rating.

8. Do you accept volunteers for community service?

Please contact us at 303-424-3012 for inquiries regarding community service opportunities and volunteering. The Arvada Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a great volunteer opportunity and a way to help keep your community safe.

NOTE: We do not accept court-mandated community service.

10. Do you offer ride-alongs?

Ride-alongs are reserved for paramedic students who are enrolled in an institution that has a standing partnership with Arvada Fire. Non-educational ride-alongs are occasionally available if the participant has a "sponsor" at Arvada Fire.

12. Does Arvada Fire have any fire dogs?

Yes! Molly lives at Arvada Fire Station 2. She is not a Dalmatian but rather a mixed breed dog who is black and white in color. Molly is very sweet and welcomes visitors!

13. Do you offer department patches for collectors?

We do not have any patches available to offer collectors at this time.

14. How far away should you park from a fire hydrant?

You need to have a 15 foot distance between your vehicle and the fire hydrant. In the event of a fire, our personnel need adequate room to operate the fire hydrant and connect hose lines.

15. How can I make a monetary donation?

Donations can be accepted through the nonprofit Friends of Arvada Fire. This 501c3 is set up to support the mission of the Arvada Fire Protection District.
